This one scene is enough for my entire life time to state that Vangelis is such a magnificent composer who has brought life to this little clip from his Oscar winning movie "CHARIOTS OF FIRE".
If it was some other composer, they would have employed aggrandized string section and brass section together with hit section. See the beauty of his synthesizer. He steals away the scene...No wonder, our own A.R.Rahman is a great fan of Vangelis.
Its a lesson to any budding musician as how rerecording elevates a scene...
